Choosing the right T-shirt fabric

The fabric decides how a shirt feels, how it photographs and how long it lasts. Here is how we choose between them.

Cotton, performance and blended fabrics each suit a different kind of day.

Cotton

Soft, breathable and familiar. Cotton suits teams, events and everyday wear, and it takes most print methods well.

It is the safe answer when a shirt will be worn casually rather than played in.

Performance fabric

Performance fabrics move moisture away from the skin, which is why they suit active groups and outdoor events in Singapore's climate.

They pair naturally with sublimation, where the colour becomes part of the fabric rather than sitting on it.

Blends

A blend sits between the two: more comfortable than pure performance fabric, more forgiving than pure cotton, and usually the middle option on price.

If your group will wear the same shirt to a meeting and then to a match, a blend is often the one to pick.

Tell us where the shirts will be worn and we will suggest the fabric — and send a sample before anything is produced.
